William Rottner (Bill) is Alpine’s Vice President, Operations. He oversees project logistics, equipment, vessels, and operations. Bill has been with Alpine Ocean for over 8 years in senior management roles including marketing, human resources, vessel operations, project management, geotechnical operations, and equipment procurement. Prior to Alpine Bill worked eight years in the marine survey market conducting similar duties.

Bill attended Rutgers’s University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He holds a Bachelor’s in Business and a minor in Art and has held a 100-ton USCG merchant mariners license for 10 years. Bill, along with his team, helped develop the standard in which Underwater UXO is mapped in 2010 and has evolved the approach in the last 15 years.

Bill has lived in New Jersey for his entire life but has travelled worldwide. He enjoys bill fishing and is an avid motorcyclist. In his twenties he road across country and back on a Honda VFR.  

Bill believes anything can be done as long as the destination is clear, and your team works together.

Bill understands good service and the impact of a good reputation. He is obsessed with communicating what can be done, making a plan to deliver and executing the plan to its finish.
