Operations Integrity and Vessel Manager

Alpine is currently searching for an Operations Integrity and Vessel Manager. The chosen individual will be a core member of our management team overseeing logistics, vessel operations and implementation of QA/QC processes related to Alpine’s geophysical, geotechnical, oceanographic and hydrographic operations.The role will involve a number of key activities including:

  • Coordinating staff associated with equipment management, vessel operations, and the implementation of QA/QC processes.
  • Supervising company logistics related to equipment, personnel and vessel movements. 
  • Managing vessel maintenance, SMS, Certification and Compliance programs.  Alpine currently operates a 155’ SOLAS and class compliant vessel, 110’ uninspected vessel and several smaller inspected and uninspected vessels.
  • Managing equipment maintenance through Alpine’s electronic technicians and scientists.
  • Coordinating the implementation of ISO 9001 certification program.
  • Supporting and helping to implement HSE programs and initiatives in conjunction with the HSE Manager.


We are looking for a candidate with the following required and preferred qualifications:

  1. Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 7 years experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years experience in a related field with a preference for degrees related to the marine sciences or maritime operations.
  2. Direct experience managing vessel logistics and maintenance programs,  preferably with at least 3 -4 years ship-board experience at an officer level.
  3. A minimum 3 years experience coordinating and supervising staff.
  4. Experience with vessel HSE, SMS, certification and compliance systems and an understanding of QA/QC processes with regards to equipment, vessels and preferably scientific data acquisition. Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 system in related fields a plus.
  5. Proven ability to meet project deadlines and coordinate effectively with other team members to meet project goals;
  6. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or have a valid working Visa and be willing to travel both within the U.S. and overseas.
